Since 2012 I have taught a variety of courses at the University of Colorado Boulder in the College of Engineering and Applied Science.

I enjoy engaging young people in engineering. From 2010 to the present, I have mentored the student members of the Boulder Robotics Alliance Team 1157 during build seasons for the For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology (FIRST) Robotics Competition. Volunteering with students of all ages offers the chance to witness how a spark of excitement can develop into a powerful flame, and how a single opportunity or event can become a future trajectory into engineering.

Candid from the Spring 2016 Colorado Regional Competition. The Landsharks performed admirably, and this photo reflects what I love about working with the team - the engagement and teamwork across schools, grades, and genders. Plus, check out that bone!
